About

When I started this blog, I made an agreement with myself and my family that we would use aliases, and mask some of the details of the events I describe, to ensure the privacy of my kids lives. So, the following will give you some idea of who I am, but please accept my apologies in advance for keeping some details vague.

My name is Judah Rose, and I’ve been married for almost 20 years to Michelle. Both of us are in the Hi-Tech industry – me in a budding Tel-Aviv startup, she a freelancer. We have four kids and a dog, and live in an apartment building in one of the suburbs of Tel-Aviv.

As for my kids, here is a short bit on each of them.

Ray is in his teens. He loves collecting trivia about anything in the world, though his current focus is music and pop culture of all kinds. Other interests are geography, reading, math and computers. He is diagnosed with Asperger’s – highly-functioning autism, yet is very social, and a great older brother to his siblings.

Kacey is in her teens. She loves things to be organized and neat, and a true perfectionist. When all else fails, she is the stable and reliable one. She is also a budding artist: drawing, baking, writing fiction, playing guitar – she does it all.

Then you have Abby – the fiery ten-year-old. She is spirited and spontaneous, the one most likely to leap before she looks. She loves riding her bike and playing the French Horn, and can get lost in a book-in-her-bed for hours without noticing the time.

Finally, we have Max, bringing up the rear at age seven. He loves games, whether in the real world or just his mind, and his imaginary friends keep him company when his older siblings and friends are not available. He has recently started to get interested in programming, and has designed his own board game.

I think that sums it up nicely – hope this gives you enough of a sense of the family I’ll be rambling about in my posts 🙂
